How to get there

A2: Exit Breukelen
A12: Exit Vleuten - De Meern

From Amsterdam direction Utrecht (A2)
1. From the A2 direction Utrecht take exit Breukelen / Kockengen.
2. At the roundabout go straight ahead, direction Kockengen.
3. Also the next roundabout straight ahead, direction Kockengen.
4. After about 2 kilometres, turn left direction Haarzuilens.
5. Follow this road (Portengen and Gieltjesdorp) for about 3,5 km. until the roundabout (Rijndijk).
6. Again, drive straight ahead and follow the signs.

From Den Haag / Rotterdam direction Utrecht (A12)
1. From the A12 direction Utrecht take exit De Meern.
2. Turn left at the traffic lights and underpass the fly-over.
3. Turn left at the first traffic lights. Follow this road (Veldhuizerweg) and take the third turn on the roundabout (direction Kasteel de Haar).
4. From there follow the signs to Kasteel de Haar.

From Den Bosch direction Utrecht (A2)
1. From the A2, close to Utrecht, follow the A12 direction Den Haag.
2. From the A12 direction Den Haag / Rotterdam, take exit De Meern.
3. Turn left at the traffic lights (direction Vleuten) and follow this road about 2 km.
4. Take the third turn on the roundabout (direction Kasteel de Haar).
5. From there follow the signs to Kasteel de Haar.

From Den Haag / Rotterdam direction Utrecht (A12)
1. From the A12 direction Utrecht take exit De Meern.
2. Turn left at the traffic lights and underpass the fly-over.
3. Turn left at the first traffic lights. Follow this road (Veldhuizerweg) and take the third turn on the roundabout (direction Kasteel de Haar).
4. From there follow the signs to Kasteel de Haar.

From Utrecht direction Den Haag / Rotterdam (A12)
1. From the A12 direction Den Haag / Rotterdam, take exit De Meern.
2. Turn left at the traffic lights (direction Vleuten) and follow this road about 2 km.
3. Take the third turn on the roundabout (direction Kasteel de Haar).
4. From there follow the signs to Kasteel de Haar.

Public transport
From Utrecht Centraal Station take the train to Vleuten (train destination: Den Haag Centraal, not the intercity but the 'stoptrein'). At Vleuten station, go down the stairs and turn left to reach the bus station. Take bus 127 direction Kockengen until the 'Brink' stop in Haarzuilens. From Mondag till Saturday the bus departs every hour and on Sunday every two hours (from 12.20 pm on). From the bus stop, it is a 15 minutes walk to the castle. Alternatively you can take a train to Vleuten station and from here get to the castle by taxi. Make sure you reserve a taxi before your departure, Taxi van Rhijn 030-6771271.
